Responsibilities
- We are primarily teachers of children before teachers of subjects.
- Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships, and motivating students.
- Our Maths & Science curriculum spans Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
- You will be supported by national subject champions who can help enhance learning for the children they know best.
- Teachers inspire children, creating a sense of awe and wonder and making subjects and lessons real and relevant to them.
- Teachers plan exciting and engaging learning opportunities that challenge and push students, from basic to advanced.
- Students have complex and challenging behaviours. Teachers must provide attention, communicate appropriately, maintain consistency and flexibility, and practice a non-judgemental approach.
- Teachers are part of the decision-making that drives the school, provide outcomes for children and advocate for every child.
- Input is welcome in developing both the academic curriculum and extracurricular offer.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified teachers of Maths and Science with experience working with children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
