Job Overview

High Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) at our school know that no two days are the same and that no two children are the same either.
They support children with complex and challenging behaviours, providing consistent, flexible, non‑judgmental care and wearing many hats to respond to children's needs.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in the classroom working 1:1 with children.
- Deliver sessions with small groups of students.
- Manage classroom resources and organisational tasks.
- Take children on trips and visits; share lunch and supervise meals.
- Manage heightened behaviours and keep children safe.
- Play board games, conduct science experiments, create displays, and celebrate success.
- Reflect on difficult periods and support children’s emotional well‑being.
- Participate in decision‑making that drives the school and advocates for every child.
