Our children require very special teachers who are able to manage some complex and challenging behaviours. Our young people require much support, the right sort of communication, consistency and flexibility in equal measure, and a non‑judgemental approach.

In Compass Schools, we believe all teachers are, primarily teachers of children, before being teachers of subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships and motivating students. Despite being a secondary provision, we require a teacher who is versatile and can teach across a range of curriculum subjects from KS3 – KS4. Accordingly, this role will suit a secondary trained teacher.
