Your Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • You will teach them to build self-esteem and accept themselves, helping their journey into adulthood.
  • Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a child's life.
  • You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
  • Within this leadership role, you will ensure the welfare and care of each child and give guidance and support to all residential workers.
  • You will be responsible for staff supervision, leading shifts, ensuring placement plans are followed, policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas, and making sure that education is supported.
  • You will create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and always safeguarding them.

You Must:

  • Have your NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
  • Have at least 2 years experience within Residential Childcare and working alongside young people.
  • Be 22 years old or above to apply as per children's homes regulations.
  • Have a valid driving licence.
