Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established provider of elderly care, who are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join the leadership team at one of their established nursing services in Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to take ownership of clinical standards, governance and quality improvement within a supportive elderly care environment.

The service provides nursing, dementia and residential care, and is looking for a strong clinical leader who can work closely with the wider management team to maintain high standards of care, support regulatory compliance and continue developing the service. This role would suit an experienced Clinical Lead, Clinical Deputy Manager, Nurse Manager or Senior Nurse who is looking for the opportunity to make a genuine impact, lead clinical improvements and support teams to deliver outstanding resident outcomes.

The Role

  • Provide strong clinical leadership and oversight across the service.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager and wider leadership team to support quality improvements.
  • Take responsibility for clinical governance, audits and compliance processes.
  • Oversee medication management processes and ensure best practice is embedded.
  • Monitor clinical standards, care planning and documentation.
  • Support the implementation of improvement plans and drive positive change.
  • Lead, coach and develop nurses and care teams.
  • Promote a culture of openness, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, relatives, colleagues and external professionals.

Candidate Requirements

  • RGN qualification with an active NMC Pin.
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care nursing environment.
  • Experience working as a Clinical Lead, Clinical Deputy Manager, Nurse Manager, Senior Nurse or similar senior clinical role.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, audits and quality assurance.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance and CQC requirements.
  • Confidence managing medication governance and clinical standards.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing nursing teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, approachable and hands-on leadership style.
