The Opportunity

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established, family-run care provider to recruit a Registered Home Manager for a medium-sized nursing home in Sittingbourne, Kent. This welcoming service provides high-quality nursing, residential and dementia care within a supportive and community-focused environment. The Role

As Home Manager, you will be entrusted with leading the home in a way that reflects the provider’s family-led values and long-standing commitment to compassionate care. You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high clinical standards, regulatory compliance and financial stability. More importantly, you will play a key role in nurturing a positive, inclusive culture where staff feel supported, residents feel at home, and families feel listened to. This is a visible, hands-on leadership role. You will work closely with senior leadership within the group, contributing ideas, driving continuous improvement and maintaining the strong sense of community that defines the organisation.

You will:

  • Lead with empathy, integrity and approachability
  • Be passionate about creating a genuine “home from home” environment
  • Take pride in developing and retaining staff within a supportive culture
  • Be confident in managing compliance, performance and budgets
  • Build trusted relationships with residents, relatives and external professionals

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience managing a residential or nursing home
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding
  • Demonstrable leadership and team development experience
  • Financial awareness and experience managing home performance
  • Clinical qualification (RGN/RMN) desirable but not essential
  • A positive, hands-on leadership style aligned with a values-driven culture
