Compass Associates is supporting an esteemed provider of neurorehabilitation services. The service focuses on acquired brain injuries (ABI) and traumatic brain injuries (TBI) with a multidisciplinary team delivering life-changing care and rehabilitation. We are seeking a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join their specialist team near Milton Keynes.
As the Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will lead and provide expert guidance within a dedicated rehabilitation team. You will assess and support individuals with complex needs, ensuring that communication challenges are addressed effectively and with sensitivity. The role requires autonomy, strategic thinking, and leadership in developing patient care plans and service-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide autonomous, high-quality therapy within a multidisciplinary team.
- Assess the impact of communication difficulties on patients’ day-to-day lives and provide tailored interventions.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and carers to identify and overcome communication barriers.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation plans, ensuring appropriate specialist assessments are conducted.
- Deliver training and support to staff and service users’ social networks.
- Contribute to service and organisational development through leadership and strategic planning.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC Registration.
- Specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy interventions for adults with ABI, including social and cognitive communication, and communication partner training.
Salary and Benefits
This Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist position offers an excellent salary of £47,810 - £54,710 (FTE), depending on experience. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package:
- 38 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
