Compass Associates are proud to be working with a specialist neurorehabilitation provider to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist for their inpatient rehabilitation service in South London. The organisation delivers intensive inpatient, hybrid, and outpatient rehabilitation programmes for individuals with complex neurological and physical rehabilitation needs. Operating within a highly clinically focused environment, the service supports a diverse caseload including brain and spinal injuries, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions, with referrals received through medico‑legal, insurance, and private funding routes.
Location
This site‑based role is primarily based within an inpatient neurorehabilitation service in Tooting, South London, with occasional outpatient activity in Central London. The position is commutable from Croydon, Streatham, Wimbledon, Clapham, Brixton, Mitcham, Sutton, Bromley, Kingston, Richmond, Epsom, Caterham, Central London, and surrounding areas.
Work Pattern
Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, with a one‑hour break. 40 hours per week. One Saturday per month required, with either time off in lieu or overtime payment available.
Criteria
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 2–4 years post‑qualification experience within inpatient neurorehabilitation
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist occupational therapy interventions within an inpatient neurorehabilitation setting
- Manage a complex neurological caseload with a high level of clinical autonomy
- Undertake comprehensive functional assessments and goal setting
- Support discharge planning and pathway coordination
- Participate in daily MDT handovers and weekly clinical meetings
- Collaborate with medical, nursing and therapy colleagues to provide integrated rehabilitation programmes
- Apply evidence‑based practice and outcome measures to support patient progress
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Occupational Therapy service
- Support the future supervision and development of a junior Occupational Therapist
Interview Process
This will be a single‑stage, face‑to‑face interview process with senior clinical leadership. The interview will focus on clinical reasoning, evidence‑based practice, and the management of complex neurological rehabilitation cases.
Salary and Benefits
This Senior Occupational Therapist position is paying between £50,000 and £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and clinical background.
28 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with length of service
Paid overtime
