We're looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our friendly nursery in Seaham. This is more than just managing a nursery. It's about creating a place where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn, where families know they're in good hands, and where your team enjoys coming to work every day.
You'll be joining a well-established nursery with a supportive regional team behind you, giving you the freedom to lead while having the support you need to succeed. As Nursery Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery, making sure we continue to provide a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment for every child.
You'll lead by example, spending time with your team, supporting them on the floor, coaching their development and celebrating their successes. You'll build positive relationships with parents, work closely with external professionals when needed, and make sure safeguarding and children's wellbeing remain at the heart of everything you do.
Alongside delivering high-quality childcare, you'll oversee occupancy, budgets and compliance, ensuring the nursery runs smoothly and continues to grow.
- Has a Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum (Level 4 or above would be an advantage).
- Has significant experience working in Early Years, including at least two years in a management role.
- Is passionate about giving children the best possible start in life.
- Enjoys developing and motivating others, helping teams to grow in confidence and ability.
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
- Can balance delivering exceptional childcare with the commercial responsibilities of running a successful nursery.
In return, you'll have the opportunity to lead a nursery where your ideas are valued and your development is supported. You'll work alongside experienced operational leaders who want to see you and your team succeed, with ongoing training and opportunities to continue progressing your career.
Most importantly, you'll have the chance to make a genuine difference every day, not just for the children in your care, but for their families and the team you lead.
Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, Right to Work checks and all relevant safeguarding and safer recruitment procedures.
