Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a warm, friendly, and progressive practice? A well-established first opinion practice in Walworth, London is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their welcoming and dedicated team.

About the Practice

Established in 2014, this modern, purpose-built surgery offers a full range of services, from routine vaccinations and health checks through to diagnostics and advanced surgical procedures, and continues to grow with a loyal and engaged client base, with approximately 60% of clients insured. The practice offers referrals for Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Exotics, and Ophthalmology, with the veterinary team having undertaken advanced training to perform orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures in-house.

The Team

There are a close-knit team in house of 4 vets, 4 nurses, 2 VCAs, 5 CCAs, creating a genuinely supportive and inclusive working environment. All team members are dedicated and make up a compassionate team committed to providing exceptional veterinary care, treating every patient as if they were their own.

The Role

This is a full-time, permanent position with weekends worked on a rotation basis and no out-of-hours. The role offers a varied and hands-on nursing caseload including:

  • Schedule 3 procedures
  • Taking X-rays and assisting with diagnostic procedures
  • Anaesthesia, surgical support, and post-operative care
  • Nursing of in-patients, including some intensive care cases
  • Pain scoring and implementing enrichment regimes for longer-stay patients
  • Supporting and running nurse-led clinics

You will work closely with the veterinary surgeons and senior team members, contributing proactively to the smooth day-to-day running and continued development of the practice.

Based in Bermondsey, London, with excellent transport links and easy access to Central and South London including Walworth, Camberwell, Deptford, Brixton, Battersea, Whitechapel, Sidcup, and surrounding areas.
