Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for a stable, well-supported home where you can genuinely make your mark?

Do you enjoy leading established teams, embedding high standards, and driving sustainable occupancy growth rather than firefighting?

If so, this could be the role for you!

We are working in partnership with a well-established, multi-home elderly care provider to appoint an experienced Registered Manager to lead a large residential dementia service in Derbyshire.

This is a stable, fully staffed home with zero agency usage and strong foundations already in place. The opportunity exists due to positive internal progression within the group, rather than performance concerns, creating a smooth and well-supported transition for the incoming manager.

About the Home Opportunity

  • Medium-to-large residential dementia service
  • Stable staff team with no agency reliance
  • Current occupancy c.51–52%, with clear opportunity for improvement
  • Balanced 50/50 Local Authority Private fee mix
  • Strong senior and regional operational support in place
  • Genuine autonomy to lead, improve, and embed best practice

This role will suit a manager who enjoys ownership, understands the commercial drivers of a home, and can balance quality, compliance, and occupancy growth in a measured, sustainable way.

What’s on Offer?

  • Competitive salary up to 70,000 for the right individual
  • Performance-related bonus linked to compliance and occupancy
  • Healthcare cash plan (appointments, optical, dental, etc.)
  • Paid sick leave entitlement
  • Strong regional and operational support
  • A stable, well-run home with scope to enhance performance
  • Long-term opportunity within a growing care group

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a proven Registered Manager, ideally currently registered or recently so, with experience leading larger residential elderly and/or dementia services.

You will be someone who:

  • Has a solid track record as a Registered Manager
  • Is confident managing compliance, governance, and CQC readiness
  • Brings commercial awareness, particularly around occupancy growth
  • Leads with credibility, consistency, and clarity
  • Enjoys developing teams and embedding strong culture
  • Is seeking a long-term, stable appointment rather than a turnaround

An RMN background is welcomed where candidates are now operating in a purely managerial capacity.

Location

The home is based in Derbyshire and is commutable from:

Derby, Nottingham, Long Eaton, Ilkeston, Belper, Ripley, Burton upon Trent, Loughborough, Castle Donington, Swadlincote, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Coalville, and surrounding areas.

Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, values-led care provider where internal progression, long-term planning, and operational support are genuinely in place. If you’re an experienced Registered Manager looking to take ownership of a well-run service with scope to improve occupancy and performance, this role offers both challenge and security.
