Operation / Practice Manager – Dental Practice
Location: near Croydon
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + up to 20% performance-related bonus

Are you an experienced Practice Manager looking for your next challenge in a forward-thinking, award-winning dental practice?
Compass Associates are working with a highly reputable dental group to appoint a Practice Manager for their Croydon near site. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a motivated team within a mixed NHS and private setting, supported by an experienced Partner and a dedicated head office infrastructure.
The Practice Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, compliant and efficient running of the practice, while driving performance and maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and service excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong commercial awareness, excellent people management skills and a proactive approach to achieving growth and targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective day-to-day running of the practice, upholding compliance standards and patient safety
- Deliver outstanding patient experience in line with company strategy and values
- Provide leadership, training, and performance management for the practice team
- Monitor and drive income, revenue, and KPI targets with full visibility of performance metrics
- Collaborate with head office functions including recruitment, finance, and marketing
- Hold regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews to develop staff skills and engagement
- Manage CQC compliance and regulatory requirements
- Support with problem-solving and issue resolution as they arise
- Previous experience in dental practice management (mixed or private practice preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen, confident reviewing P&L accounts and driving performance improvements
- Experience in compliance management and CQC requirements
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a diverse team
- Confident, professional, and proactive in both patient and team interactions
- Experience with Dentally software desirable
- DBS checked and eligible to work in the UK
