Overview

Compass Associates is excited to be collaborating alongside one of the UK’s leading providers of high-quality Specialist Education Children’s Care. Their services support children with a variety of emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties, utilising a therapeutic approach rooted to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Together, we are looking for a SENCo to join their established Specialist SEMH School in Shrewsbury. You will be responsible for coordinating daily SEND support and provision to pupils, liaising with parents and external agencies, managing resources, and advocating for students.

Work Pattern

Full time, term-time only, Monday – Friday. This opportunity is commutable from Telford, Wolverhampton, Oswestry, Newtown, Welshpool, etc.

About You

  • Great at relationship building with the young pupils
  • Great at managing challenging behaviour
  • Collaborative and fun approach
  • Significant experience supporting learners with SEMH needs, preferably in a trauma‑informed environment

Qualifications

  • Experienced practitioner with NASENCO qualification or equivalent experience
  • Must hold QTS
  • Primary training preferred, expertise in managing multiple local authorities and EHCP processes
