Role: Case Manager – Employed & Associate Contracts Available

Location: London & South East (Home-Based with Regional Travel)

Hours: Full Time (Employed: min. 3 days/week) | Flexible (Associate)

Overview:

Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading specialist rehabilitation and case management provider operating within the medico-legal sector to recruit Case Managers across both employed and associate models. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected organisation supporting individuals with catastrophic and life-changing injuries including acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, polytrauma, and complex neurological conditions. You will be working within a clinically led, rehabilitation-focused service that places strong emphasis on quality, governance, and outcomes. The organisation forms part of a wider national group, providing strong infrastructure, stability, and opportunities for professional collaboration. This position is available on either a permanent employed basis or a self-employed associate model, offering flexibility to suit different career stages and working preferences.

Case Manager Focus Areas:

  • Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
  • Amputation & polytrauma
  • Birth injury & neurological conditions
  • Complex orthopaedic trauma

You will be responsible for delivering holistic, client-centred case management, including MDT coordination, risk management, rehabilitation planning, and long-term support coordination.

Location:

This is a home-based role with caseloads typically allocated within a 1–2 hour radius of your home location where possible. Primary areas include: North London, South East London, Essex, Surrey, Oxfordshire and the M4 corridor. You will be expected to attend client homes, hospitals, rehabilitation settings, and occasional team meetings in London.

Working Pattern:

  • Employed Case Manager: Minimum 3 days per week (up to full-time available), Flexible working pattern aligned to MDT meetings and client needs, Standard working hours generally 9am–5pm
  • Associate Case Manager: Flexible caseload based on availability, Ability to scale workload up or down depending on caseload, Expected responsiveness during standard clinical/legal working hours

Salary & Package:

  • Employed: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (rising to 30 with service), Employee assistance programme (24/7 GP, wellbeing, financial & legal support), CPD, supervision and career development support, Company social events
  • Associate: Travel paid separately (agreed mileage/hourly structure)

Criteria:

  • Registered healthcare professional (HCPC / NMC / SWE)
  • Occupational Therapist, Nurse, Physiotherapist, Speech & Language Therapist or Social Worker
  • Minimum 6 years post-qualified experience
  • Strong community rehabilitation background
  • Experience with complex or catastrophic injury caseloads
  • Ability to work independently and within MDT structures
  • Previous medico-legal case management experience
  • IRCM registration or eligibility
  • Proven ability to manage caseload autonomously

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing complex rehabilitation caseloads across community and home environments
  • Completing holistic needs assessments and detailed case reports
  • Developing and coordinating bespoke rehabilitation plans
  • MDT coordination across health, legal, and social care professionals
  • Risk assessment and risk management planning
  • Budget management and cost-effective service coordination
  • Advocacy for clients and families throughout rehabilitation journey
  • Ongoing review and optimisation of care packages
  • Liaison with solicitors, insurers, and healthcare providers
  • Supporting vocational, educational and community reintegration
