Key Responsibilities
- Deliver immediate emotional support via helpline calls, providing psychoeducation, signposting to external agencies, and arranging follow-up when needed.
- Conduct clinical assessments over the phone, administer psychometric tools confidently, and refer individuals for appropriate ongoing psychological or counselling support.
- Manage risk effectively, including high-risk and trauma calls, following risk policy to ensure caller safety.
- Achieve individual and team performance goals.
- Maintain accurate records and communication, updating systems promptly, handling email/web enquiries, and supporting managers or HR with helpline information.
- Contribute to team flexibility and service delivery, assisting with administrative tasks, referrals, and projects.
Skills & Experience
- Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy.
- Registered member of a professional body such as BACP or equivalent.
- Previous EAP experience or experience working with a fast-paced environment/KPIs.
- Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to manage risk effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
