Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading provider of integrated education, assessment, and therapeutic services to recruit multiple Occupational Therapists across their expanding SEND provision. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary service supporting children and young people within school environments. The organisation delivers clinically informed therapy pathways, working closely with schools, families, and wider professionals to improve inclusion, independence, and educational outcomes.

The successful Occupational Therapist will join an established MDT consisting of clinicians including Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Nurses, providing specialist therapeutic input to children and young people with a range of additional needs. These newly created opportunities offer clinicians the chance to shape developing provisions, contribute to service growth, and deliver meaningful outcomes for children requiring additional support within education.

Location

Occupational Therapy opportunities are available across South London, primarily near Mitcham and surrounding areas. Exact placement will be discussed during the interview process and matched according to your location, experience, and clinical interests.

Working Pattern

• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• Full-year and term-time style contracts available
• Approximately 25% protected administration time built into the working week
• Following successful probation, clinicians can access a 10% Rest Time initiative, reducing the standard working day to 6.5 hours while maintaining salary

Criteria

• HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (Band 6 equivalent preferred)
• Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience, ideally within education or specialist settings
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and outcome-focused therapy

Responsibilities Include

• Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people
• Provide specialist OT input within school environments to support inclusion and participation
• Work collaboratively with education teams, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Contribute to EHCP outcomes and personalised support plans
• Support children with a range of additional needs to develop independence and achieve their goals
• Provide clinical advice, consultation, and recommendations to schools and wider stakeholders
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to outcome monitoring
• Support service development and continuous improvement across expanding provisions
