Are you an analytically minded finance professional looking to build a career in M&A within a growing healthcare organisation? Do you enjoy working across financial modelling, due diligence, and strategic analysis, supporting senior leaders on high-impact investment decisions? We are supporting a multi-site dental healthcare group with ambitious acquisition-led growth plans. As part of this strategy, the business is seeking an M&A Analyst to support the evaluation and execution of new practice acquisitions across the UK.

This role sits within the Operations function, working closely with the COO and CFO, and alongside the M&A Manager. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in financial planning, modelling, or transaction support to gain hands-on exposure to the full M&A lifecycle in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of financial models for potential practice acquisitions, using statutory accounts and internal benchmarks
  • Assist in building 3-5 year forecasts to assess commercial viability and investment returns
  • Maintain and update financial models, assumptions, and sensitivity analysis
  • Assist with financial due diligence by analysing historical financial performance and identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support the preparation of DD packs, reports, and internal review materials
  • Maintain accurate documentation and version control across all transaction materials
  • Contribute to acquisition business cases and investment papers with clear financial analysis
  • Support internal approval processes by preparing financial summaries and presentations
  • Assist with post-completion reviews to compare forecast vs actual performance
  • Support the M&A Manager in maintaining and developing the acquisition pipeline
  • Assist with initial financial screening of new acquisition opportunities
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather financial and operational information
  • Coordinate with external advisors including accountants, solicitors, and brokers during live transactions
  • Work collaboratively with finance, operations, and integration teams throughout the acquisition process
  • Support post-acquisition planning and integration activity from a financial perspective
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in FP&A, financial analysis, audit, transaction services, or corporate finance
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
  • Understanding of profit & loss statements and statutory accounts
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Exposure to M&A, financial due diligence, or transaction support
  • Experience within healthcare, dental, or multi-site businesses
  • Studying towards or recently qualified in ACA / ACCA / CIMA
