Email: :Responsible Individual / Regional Manager – Children’s ServicesLocation: North LondonSalary: Open to discussion as we are looking to make the right appointment Contract: Permanent or InterimSector: Children’s Residential CareCompass Associates is exclusively supporting an established care provider with an exciting new phase of growth as they expand into Ofsted-regulated children’s residential services.Already experienced in delivering specialist care and support across London, the organisation is now looking to appoint an experienced Responsible Individual / Regional Manager who can play a key role in establishing and developing its children’s residential offering.This is a genuine opportunity to join at the beginning of the journey and have significant input into how the services are developed, registered and operated. We are therefore looking for someone who has personally been involved in setting up and opening children’s homes and successfully taking services through Ofsted registration and inspection.The RoleWorking closely with the Owner you will take a lead role in the development and oversight of the organisation’s children’s homes, ensuring strong governance, safeguarding and regulatory compliance from the outset.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the setup, registration and successful opening of new children’s homes across LondonActing as Responsible Individual and providing effective oversight of Registered ManagersLeading on Ofsted readiness, regulatory compliance and quality assuranceEnsuring services meet the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality StandardsDeveloping robust governance, safeguarding and auditing frameworksSupporting recruitment and development of strong management teamsBuilding effective relationships with Ofsted, local authorities and other key stakeholdersHelping shape the longer-term growth and development of the children’s residential divisionAbout YouFor this appointment, direct children’s residential experience is essential. We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Responsible Individuals, Regional Managers or senior operational leaders who can demonstrate:Successful experience setting up and opening a children’s homeExperience taking a children’s home through a successful Ofsted inspectionStrong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality StandardsExperience overseeing Registered Managers and driving high standards across servicesStrong safeguarding, governance and quality assurance knowledgeThe ability to build effective systems and processes within a developing serviceA hands-on, collaborative approach and the confidence to advise and challenge at senior leadership levelThis could suit an established Responsible Individual or Regional Manager looking for a permanent opportunity, or an experienced interim leader who can support the organisation through the initial setup, registration and development phase.Please get in touch to further discuss the role, company and package.
