Overview: Compass Associates is proud to partner with a certified Great Place to Work in their search for an experienced Registered Service Manager to lead a brand new supported living service in Hull. The service is a new-build development supporting 11 adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. The Candidate: The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the service, ensuring CQC compliance, high-quality person-centred care, and the continued development of the staff team. The role requires confident leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance financial performance with a quality-first approach. Candidates must be comfortable working on a shift basis and being on call where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Overseeing daily operations, leading a team of care professionals, and fostering a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Quality Care: Ensuring residents receive care tailored to their individual needs, promoting independence and maximising personal outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintaining compliance with CQC standards and all relevant regulatory frameworks, conducting audits and driving continuous improvement.
  • Staff Development: Providing leadership, supervision, training and performance management to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Financial and Operational Oversight: Managing budgets and resources to ensure the service operates efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or complex behaviours within residential or supported living services.
  • Proven track record as a Service or Registered Manager.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations.
  • Confident, flexible approach to leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting adults with autism or complex needs alongside learning disabilities.
  • Sound understanding of risk management and safeguarding within care settings.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • £2,000 Welcome Bonus (paid in two instalments)
