Overview
Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with a growing specialist adult social care provider to recruit a Business Development Manager during an exciting period of sustained growth. This is a newly created role, reporting directly into the senior leadership team, where you'll be responsible for increasing occupancy across a portfolio of specialist residential and supported living services while supporting the organisation's expansion into new geographical regions. The organisation currently operates a number of specialist residential and supported living services for adults with complex needs, with several new developments planned across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Business Development professional looking to play a key role within an ambitious and expanding provider.
Responsibilities
- Drive occupancy across the existing portfolio by securing new referrals and placements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, ICBs, NHS commissioners, case management organisations and other key referral sources.
- Identify new business opportunities to support expansion into new geographical regions.
- Lead framework applications, tender submissions and commissioning opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure appropriate placements and successful service outcomes.
- Support the successful launch and occupancy of new services across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.
- Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences and commissioner meetings.
- Monitor local market activity and identify opportunities to increase referrals and occupancy.
This opportunity would suit an ambitious, relationship-focused Business Development professional with a proven background in specialist adult social care who enjoys building long-term partnerships and delivering commercial growth.
Essential Requirements
- Previous Business Development experience within specialist adult social care.
- Proven track record of increasing occupancy and securing new placements.
- Established relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, ICBs and healthcare professionals.
- Experience managing frameworks, tender submissions and commissioning processes.
- Knowledge of residential and supported living services.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across the region.
This role offers flexible and hybrid working, with regular travel across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, alongside occasional visits to Head Office and services.
