Compass Associates are proud to be exclusively partnering with one of the UK's most respected elderly care providers to recruit an exceptional Home Manager for a Nursing, Residential and Dementia Care Home in West Sussex. This is not a "business as usual" management position. It's an opportunity to take ownership of a home that has been identified as a key investment for the provider, with significant refurbishment plans, committed senior leadership and the resources needed to deliver genuine, long-term transformation.

If you're the type of leader who enjoys creating high-performing teams, improving quality, building a positive culture and seeing the direct impact of your leadership, this is the sort of opportunity that can define your career.

You’ll inherit an established clinical leadership team, including a Clinical Deputy and Clinical Leads, allowing you to focus on what great Home Managers do best, leading people, improving standards, developing talent and creating an exceptional home for residents and colleagues alike. You’ll also benefit from the support of an experienced Regional Director, dedicated Quality Team and Learning & Development specialists, ensuring you're never expected to face challenges alone.

For the right individual, this role offers the chance to build something you're genuinely proud of whilst joining a provider renowned for promoting from within and investing heavily in its leaders.

The Opportunity

  • Delivering outstanding care and quality standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement across the home.
  • Creating a positive, engaged and accountable team culture.
  • Developing and mentoring future leaders.
  • Building occupancy and strengthening the home’s reputation within the local community.
  • Working collaboratively with senior leadership to implement exciting future development plans.

This is an opportunity where your decisions will genuinely shape the future of the service.

The Candidate

We’re looking for an inspirational leader with the confidence, resilience and commercial awareness to deliver sustainable success. You will already have experience managing an elderly nursing and/or residential care home and will be able to demonstrate a strong history of leading CQC inspections as the Registered Manager. Candidates who have successfully turned around underperforming services will naturally stand out, however we would equally welcome applications from experienced Home Managers who have consistently achieved and maintained Good or Outstanding CQC ratings over multiple inspections.

  • Registered Home Manager experience within elderly nursing and/or residential care.
  • Proven experience leading CQC inspections as the Registered Manager.
  • Strong operational and commercial understanding.
  • Excellent people leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to inspire, influence and drive lasting change.

What’s On Offer?

  • Competitive salary starting at £75,000
  • Up to 20% Annual Performance Bonus & other benefits
  • Extensive operational and quality support.
  • Dedicated Clinical Leadership already in place.
  • Ongoing investment into the home.
  • Genuine career progression within one of the UK's largest and most successful care providers.
  • The opportunity to leave a lasting legacy rather than simply maintain the status quo.

Interview Process

The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:

  • Initial telephone conversation.
  • Online psychometric and situational judgement assessment.
  • Competency-based first-stage interview.
  • Business case presentation.
  • Final interview with senior leadership.

Location

The home is easily commutable from: Bath, Keynsham, Portishead, Clevedon, Yate, Thornbury, Weston-super-Mare, Nailsea, Chippenham, Emersons Green, Bradley Stoke, Filton and the surrounding areas.

Exceptional Home Manager opportunities don’t come along often. This is your chance to join a provider that genuinely believes in supporting its leaders, investing in its homes and recognising success. If you’re looking for a role where you’ll have the autonomy to lead, the backing to succeed and the opportunity to transform a service into one of the region’s leading care homes, we’d love to speak with you.
