Are you a qualified RVN looking to join a friendly, supportive team? Looking for a role in a busy, well-supported environment where teamwork, culture, and clinical excellence are valued? Our established independent group is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our large team at our Alton branch.
The Alton site is a modern, purpose-built practice, with a team of 16 vets, 9 RVNs, 2 SVNs, a senior VCA, as well as non-clinical members of staff. The team includes a visiting orthopaedic surgeon, and nurses currently hold certifications in dentistry, medicine, and anaesthesia. With excellent equipment and facilities, the site is designed to ensure patient comfort and the highest standards of care.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, values-led team with a very low staff turnover. There is zero tolerance for cliques, negativity, or unprofessional behaviour amongst the team, ensuring all staff members feel comfortable and can support each other to reach their full potential. You will also have regular protected breaks to ensure that you are able to be at your best throughout your shift.
The Role: You will be working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and having exposure to a varied caseload, with rotations in consults, wards, and theatre. Nurse consults are typically allocated one day every two weeks, though the team are happy to support individual preferences wherever possible. You would have full support to gain experience with schedule 3 procedures and continue developing your skillset. For full-time nurses, the shift patterns are based on a two week rolling rota with a mix of longer and shorter days, with no OOH. There are Saturday shifts on rotation although, these are paid as time and a half. We are happy to discuss your own personal requirements to tailor the rota for you.
What’s in it for you? Salary up to £33,000 DOE, starting from £29,000.
