Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a friendly, close-knit team? Do you enjoy a mix of surgery and consults in a well-equipped, first-opinion practice? Our thriving independent practice in Guildford is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy practice.
We are an independently owned, family-run small animal veterinary clinic based in West Surrey, providing the highest standard of care in a professional yet friendly environment. The practice holds a long-standing veterinary presence in the community, which dates back to the late 1970s. Following a full refurbishment, the clinic now benefits from modern equipment, updated surgical techniques, and improved facilities, creating an excellent working environment for the team.
We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional veterinary care with a personal touch. We understand and value the relationship clients have with their pets, and aim to ensure every animal we care for remains healthy and, most importantly, happy. Our approach combines accurate diagnostics, compassionate treatment, and clear client communication, all within a safe and supportive workplace.
- 4 full-time vets
- 1 Veterinary Care Assistant
- A dedicated reception team
The practice has two consult rooms, with vets typically working collaboratively, with two vets consulting at any one time. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants (minimum of approximately 28 hours per week). This role offers a varied caseload within a first-opinion setting, including a mix of routine surgeries and consultations.
- Flexible working pattern, typically averaging around 33 hours across weekdays (tailored rota available)
- Working alongside 4 other full-time vets, with shared caseload and support
- 1 in 4 weekends
Salary up to £80,000 (flexible for the right candidate). Opportunity to develop within a growing independent clinic. Strong work-life balance with flexible rota options. Confident in both consultations and routine surgeries.
The surgery is located in West Surrey with excellent transport links to Guildford, East Horley, Aldershot, Farnborough, Godalming, Woking, Epsom, Horsham, Petersfield, Staines-upon-Thames and surrounding areas.
Once you submit your CV, someone will be in contact with feedback and an option for an informal chat within 2 working days. If you are not interested, but know someone who is, we offer £500 vouchers for each successful recommendation.
