Are you an experienced Home Manager who thrives on rebuilding occupancy and strengthening a home's reputation? Can you engage residents, relatives, colleagues and the wider community through visible, credible leadership? Do you want to lead a beautiful purpose-built service with genuine autonomy and long-term career opportunities? Then this could be the position for you!

We are working with a respected and rapidly expanding elderly care provider seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead a modern, purpose-built 73-bed residential and dementia care home in Lincoln. Opened in 2025 and arranged across three floors, the service currently has two floors operational, with significant scope to grow occupancy and open the remaining floor.

This is an exciting turnaround and growth opportunity for a commercially focused leader who can restore confidence, reconnect the home with its local community and create a positive, high-performing culture. The provider operates a growing portfolio of care services and continues to invest in new developments and acquisitions. It offers a supportive, down-to-earth culture, clear operational systems and the freedom for Home Managers to remain visible rather than becoming desk-bound. The wider group has also received national recognition within the carehome.co.uk awards.

The successful manager will be supported by an experienced Regional Director and senior leadership team, with access to a wider network of services and genuine opportunities to progress as the organisation continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong operational leadership across a large residential and dementia care home.
  • Develop and deliver a clear occupancy-growth plan, with particular focus on private-fee admissions.
  • Rebuild trust and confidence with residents, relatives and the local community through visible and responsive leadership.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the established staff team, embedding accountability, stability and a positive culture.
  • Maintain strong governance, compliance, safeguarding and financial performance while preparing the service for future growth.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record as a successful Registered Home Manager within elderly residential and/or dementia care.
  • Demonstrable success in increasing occupancy, developing community links and improving commercial performance.
  • An experienced, credible leader who can hit the ground running; this is not suitable for a first-time Home Manager.
  • Firm, fair and approachable leadership style, with the confidence to make decisions and bring teams with them.
  • Strong career stability, excellent communication skills and a genuine appetite for a rewarding turnaround challenge.

The Home

  • Purpose-built in 2025, with 65+ single bedrooms, each benefiting from an en-suite wet room.
  • Three floors offering residential and dementia care, with the remaining floor available as occupancy increases.
  • Modern facilities include gardens, a café/bar, resident kitchenettes, internet access and welcoming communal spaces.
  • Rated 9.0+/10 on carehome.co.uk, with an established core team, minimal agency reliance and on-site parking with EV charging.

Location

The home is situated close to central Lincoln and is commutable from Newark-on-Trent, Gainsborough, Sleaford, Market Rasen, Retford, Grantham and the wider Lincolnshire area.

Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Registered Home Manager to lead a large residential and dementia service in Lincoln. Offering £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, an annual bonus of up to 10%, 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and free on-site parking, this is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-potential service and make a visible, lasting impact within a supportive and expanding organisation.
