An excellent opportunity has become available for an Optometrist to join a well-established, nationally recognised optical retailer based in Fareham. Youβll work closely with the Dispensing Optician Manager, supporting colleagues and playing a pivotal role in delivering a wide range of high-quality clinical eye care services. The Role
With access to top-of-the-range equipment and exciting plans for continued store investment and refresh, this opportunity would suit either a newly GOC-registered Optometrist or an experienced clinician seeking a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including contact lens and extended services.
- Work collaboratively with the Dispensing Optician Manager to support, train and coach colleagues while maintaining departmental standards.
- Receive full support to gain any additional accreditations required to deliver enhanced services.
- Optional opportunity for GOC-registered professionals to supervise students β a rewarding way to support the next generation while developing your own skills.

Requirements
- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC.
- Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
- MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months (fully funded and supported).
- On track to meet statutory CPD requirements.
- Passionate about delivering a memorable patient experience.
- Keen to develop new patient services and positively shape departmental culture.
