Addiction Therapist – Residential Rehabilitation Service

Compass Associates are proud to be working with a respected national provider of addiction treatment and recovery services. We are currently looking for an Addiction Therapist to join a well-established residential rehabilitation service in Braintree. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, providing both group and one-to-one therapeutic support and providing the best possible care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured 1:1 therapy sessions and group interventions to adults in residential rehab
- Support clients with drug and alcohol dependency, trauma, and co-occurring mental health needs
- Facilitate evidence-based interventions including CBT, relapse prevention, and motivational approaches
- Contribute to holistic recovery planning, including aftercare and discharge support
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, doctors, and support staff
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to care planning and risk management
Skills & Experience
- Level 4 qualification in Counselling or equivalent
- Professional membership with BACP or NCPS
- Proven experience supporting individuals within addiction services or rehabilitation settings
- Minimum of one year’s experience working directly with clients and facilitating one-to-one and group therapy
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible, client-centred approach
- Strong organisational and administration skills
