About the Role:

I’m working with a leading provider of specialist education who is seeking a Director of Education Practice and Standards to drive excellence across its SEN schools. This strategic leadership role ensures high-quality, inclusive education for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership – Develop and implement an innovative education strategy to enhance teaching and learning.
  2. Quality Assurance & Compliance – Ensure all schools meet or exceed Ofsted and statutory standards.
  3. Curriculum & Innovation – Oversee the development of inclusive, cutting-edge curricula.
  4. Professional Development – Lead training programs to empower educators in SEN-specific approaches.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with parents, local authorities, and external partners.
  6. Operational Leadership – Support recruitment, resource allocation, and overall school improvement.

About You:

  1. Extensive multi-site leadership experience in SEN education.
  2. Track record of improving outcomes in SEN schools.
  3. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and therapeutic teaching methods.

Salary + Package:

This role is paying up to £90,000 (negotiable based on experience) + £4,000 car allowance for travel. The role comes with additional benefits including remote working with travel, a wide range of health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits, and enhanced work-life balance.

Location:

This role is remote with travel across England with occasional visits to the head office in Bolton.
