Are you an experienced Nurse with a passion for delivering outstanding patient care?

Do you want to make a real difference where teamwork and excellence matters most?

Compass Associates are proud to be working with an award-winning private hospital, located in Crowborough, who are currently recruiting a dedicated Senior Staff Nurse for their highly respected inpatient orthopaedic team. This is a hands-on clinical leadership role within a supportive, low-turnover environment where quality, teamwork, and patient experience come first. This final vacancy completes an exciting service rollout and offers a rare opportunity to join a close-knit, specialist team in one of the UK’s leading independent orthopaedic hospitals.

The Role

As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day leadership of a 46-bed inpatient orthopaedic ward, supporting the Ward Sister and senior leadership team to deliver outstanding care around the clock. You will be visible, influential, and operationally responsible during your shift.

You will:

  • Lead and coordinate shifts, acting as the senior clinical presence
  • Supervise and support the multidisciplinary team
  • Act as a clinical escalation point and mentor for junior staff
  • Ensure safe staffing, patient flow, and smooth ward operations
  • Drive quality improvement through audits, governance, and best practice
  • Contribute to service development, change management, and staff development

Shift patterns include days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, with rotas planned and rotated in advance. If you are a confident, compassionate Nurse who thrives in a hospital environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional surgical care, we would love to hear from you! We are happy to consider both Staff Nurses who are looking for their official step up, or current Senior Staff Nurses who want to take on a new challenge.
