Independent Prescribing Pharmacist | Part-Time | GP Surgery, Coastal Somerset

We’re working alongside a well-regarded GP practice in Somerset that’s undergoing an exciting transformation – and they’re looking for a motivated, patient-focused Clinical Pharmacist to join the team.

Set in a coastal town in Somerset this practice serves a close-knit patient population of just over 12,000. It’s the main GP hub in the area, with newly refurbished facilities and a strong commitment to modern, integrated care. You’ll be working alongside GPs, nurses, ANPs and allied health professionals to deliver excellent patient-centred care.

This will be a part time position where you’ll be working across 30-hours per week.

What you’ll be doing
  • Deliver high-quality medicines management and clinical support for patients with long-term conditions
  • Lead on prescribing audits, high-risk medication reviews, and repeat prescription systems
  • Conduct remote and face-to-face consultations, advising on medicines use and optimisation
  • Support clinical decision-making, treatment plans, and patient safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the wider clinical team to deliver safe, effective, person-centred care
What you’ll bring
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Qualified Independent Prescriber (or working towards completion).
  • Completed the CPPE Primary Care Pathway.
  • Demonstrated experience in a primary care or GP setting.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Confident with clinical systems
