The Role

The clinical team is made up of highly knowledgeable, compassionate and accredited professionals who specialise across a wide range of healthcare pathways.
As a Clinical Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance to support families during the transition to parenthood and through the early years of a child’s life.
While your primary expertise will be in infant care, a key part of this role involves conducting calls across all of the care pathways, where full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and equipped to support patients across our diverse services.
This is a dynamic and patient-facing position suited to someone who is proactive, compassionate and comfortable working within a fast-paced digital healthcare environment.
You will report into the Head of Clinical Services and work closely alongside the Medical Director, Patient Advisors and wider operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted Clinical Advisor to parents and caregivers, providing evidence-based guidance on infant health, parental wellbeing, and early childhood development.
- Deliver virtual discovery calls and consultations across several clinical pathways, with a core focus on developmental milestones, infant nutrition, and postnatal recovery.
- Provide expert, compassionate support on parental mental health, infant feeding, and healthy sleep practices, ensuring information is clear, accessible, and tailored to individual needs.
- Support families as they navigate the challenges of early parenthood, offering personalised guidance based on their unique health journeys and circumstances.
- Educate parents and caregivers on preventative healthcare topics, including immunisation schedules, weaning, and home safety.
- Respond to clinical enquiries via the app and email, delivering timely, professional, and family-centred advice.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive clinical records and document all patient interactions in line with organisational standards.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and best practices to protect the safety, wellbeing, and confidentiality of children and families.
- Operational Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day delivery of clinical services by coordinating care and working collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of families.
- Provide clinical guidance and act as an escalation point for Patient Advisors managing complex postnatal and early years queries.
- Work closely with internal teams and external wellbeing partners to ensure a seamless, high-quality patient experience.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of digital health tools, resources, and patient support materials.
- Develop educational content, deliver webinars, and facilitate workshops on topics including newborn care, postnatal health, and infant development.
- Adhere to all clinical governance requirements, including established clinical protocols, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with the SMT to help drive and develop the infant care service
Requirements
- Valid professional registration with a relevant governing body e. g., a valid NMC registration for Nurses/Midwives/Health Visitors, or a recognised Level 3+ childcare qualification for Nursery Nurses.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working within a health visiting team (we welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including Health Visitors, Community Staff Nurses and Nursery Nurses.
- Solid understanding of the Healthy Child Programme
- Strong understanding of maternal health, infant development, and early years clinical advice.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically
- Confident using digital systems, Microsoft Office and patient management platforms
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced digital healthcare environment
- Proactive and adaptable approach to learning across multiple clinical pathways
- Previous experience within digital health or virtual clinical settings would be advantageous but not essential
- Clinical interest or exposure to wider reproductive or wellbeing pathways
- Committed to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Knowledge and experience of child and adult safeguarding

In return, there is a competitive salary of up to £46,000 dependent on experience, alongside an excellent benefits package including:
