Are you a commercially driven sales professional with experience in the pharmacy sector? We are partnering with an innovative healthcare business that is helping independent pharmacies improve efficiency, reduce operational pressures and focus on delivering higher-value clinical services.
As part of an exciting growth phase, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business across the South East of England.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting independent pharmacies into long-term partners. This is a highly autonomous, field-based role where you will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship building through to conversion and onboarding. Success in the role will come from your ability to build trust, understand customer challenges and deliver a consultative, solution-led sales approach within a highly relationship-driven market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across the South East region
- Build relationships with pharmacy owners and key decision-makers
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Conduct consultative sales meetings and presentations
- Follow up marketing-generated leads and self-generate opportunities
- Maintain an active pipeline through CRM management
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities
- Provide market and competitor insight to support commercial growth
About You
- Proven experience in Business Development, Field Sales or Account Management
- Experience within community pharmacy, digital pharmacy, pharmacy technology, PMR systems, pharmaceutical wholesale or a related healthcare sector
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
- Track record of achieving commercial targets
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment
- Resilient, proactive and self-motivated
- Passionate about healthcare innovation and service improvement
- Full UK Driving Licence
