Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Term Time – Liverpool & Wirral
£40,000 FTE DOE Full-time, term time only Community-based role with travel around Liverpool/Wirral.
Are you a paediatric Occupational Therapist looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are working exclusively with a paediatric occupational therapy service supporting children and young people with a wide range of developmental needs. This role is based in schools and the community, offering the chance to take ownership of your own caseloads while receiving guidance and mentorship from a highly specialist Occupational Therapist.
Key Responsibilities- Manage your own caseload and diary, delivering assessments and interventions across community settings.
- Provide school and home-based occupational therapy support, liaising with parents, SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals.
- Conduct assessments for a wide range of conditions, including sensory processing difficulties, dyspraxia, autism spectrum condition, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome.
- Supervise newly qualified Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and student placements.
- Support and model high standards of practice, contributing to service development and team growth.
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and RCOT membership.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in paediatric occupational therapy.
- Strong clinical reasoning and confidence in assessment, intervention planning, and professional reporting.
- Experience building effective relationships with children, young people, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Commitment to ongoing CPD and reflective practice.
- Flexible, supportive working environment with team peer support.
- Allocated time for CPD and professional development.
- Paid Christmas shutdown with 30 days annual leave.
- Mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
- Private healthcare plan.
