Compass Associates are excited to be working with one of the UK’s most exciting Pharmacy groups, offering both high street and online Pharmacy operation. They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Manager to lead their Grays community pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and legally compliant delivery of pharmaceutical services while driving high standards of patient care. This is a key leadership role involving operational management, staff development, and service expansion across both NHS and private offerings.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe and accurate dispensing of medications.
- Perform thorough clinical and accuracy checks on all prescriptions.
- Ensure full compliance with GPhC standards and all legal, ethical, and professional requirements.
- Manage and secure controlled drugs in accordance with regulations.
- Lead, support, and train pharmacy staff including technicians and counter teams.
- Communicate effectively with prescribers to clarify and optimise patient therapies.
- Provide expert advice on the use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Deliver and promote a range of NHS and private pharmacy services.
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and budget management.
- Maintain accurate patient and stock records using pharmacy IT systems.
- Ensure a positive, professional, and patient-focused environment within the branch.
- Stay up-to-date on new medicines, guidance, and industry developments.
- Undertake any additional duties required to support effective branch operations.
Person Specification
- MPharm degree or equivalent and current GPhC registration.
- Proven experience as a community pharmacist
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- High attention to detail with a methodical, accurate working style.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and use of initiative.
- IT literate with confidence using pharmacy systems.

Monday – Friday, 9:00am–7:00pm (paid lunch break)

This Community Pharmacy is based in Grays and commutable from Tilbury, South Ockendon, Chafford Hundred, Chadwell-St-Mary, Standford-le-Hope, Corringham, Orsett, Langdon Hills, Basildon, Upminster, Hornchurch, Rainham and Brentwood.
