Audiologist / Hearing Aid Dispenser – Independent Hearing Care Provider
Location: Wokingham, Berkshire
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
Commission: Uncapped, realistic OTE £55,000–£70,000
Employment Type: Full time Permanent – Option to do part time – 3/4 Day Week.
Hours: Typically 9:00am–5:30pm (with lunch break)

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and confident Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser to join a friendly, growing team and take on a key role supporting both hearing aid and ear wax removal clinics across two local sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated clinician who enjoys working independently, delivering high-quality patient care, and contributing to a successful private practice environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducting full hearing assessments and fittings using recognised private-sector systems and technology
- Performing ear wax removal using micro suction and irrigation techniques
- Recommending and fitting tailored hearing aid solutions from premium manufacturers (Phonak, Widex, Signia, Starkey, etc.)
- Delivering first-class aftercare and maintaining trusted patient relationships
- Managing your own diary efficiently and ensuring smooth clinic operations
- Working autonomously across two local sites (including one day per week at a GP practice)
- Supporting business growth and maintaining the practice’s strong clinical reputation
What We’re Looking For
- HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispenser (or qualified Audiologist eligible for registration)
- Minimum 2 years of unsupervised wax removal experience (micro suction & irrigation)
- Proven private practice experience – NHS-only background less suitable
- Comfortable working independently with excellent time management
- Confident using hearing aid programming software (training can be provided)
- Patient-focused, professional, and commercially aware
- Strong communication skills with a warm, personable approach
The Package
- Basic Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience)
- Commission Structure: Between 5% to 15% of Sales
- OTE: £55,000 – £70,000+ (uncapped)
- Contract: 37.5 hours per week (flexible part-time options considered)
- Schedule: 3+ days per week (Weds & Thurs essential; alternate Saturdays preferred)
- Autonomous role with ongoing support from a highly experienced owner-operator
- Access to advanced hearing aid technology and continuous professional development

- Initial Teams call – brief introduction and discussion about experience and fit
- Face-to-face interview – opportunity to meet on-site and see the clinic

Interviews can be scheduled flexibly, including evenings or weekends, to accommodate candidate availability.
