Compass Associates is exclusively working with a national provider of specialist education and care services, to recruit an Associate Quality Director who will oversee their Children's Services Division. The Associate Quality Director will oversee the quality performance of the Children's Services which consists of residential homes, supported accommodation, specialist schools and family assessment centres. Reporting into the Director of Quality, you will be instrumental in driving internal standards and continuous improvement for quality, strategy and safeguarding, as well as ensuring that the services consistently meet and exceed regulatory requirements and outcomes.

To excel in this role, you must be immersed in your division, continuously reflect on areas of improvement and proactively ensure the services are delivering the highest quality, care and support for children. You will build and nurture positive relationships with external stakeholders and internal Operations, Education and Residential Teams, as well as line manage a team of Quality Managers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality or Safeguarding Leader, who is looking for the next step in their career as part of a well-established, reputable and specialist provider of social care.

Location/Travel

Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, as long as you are willing to travel including overnight stays. Services are located across England and Wales including London, the Midlands, Devon, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the North West.

Candidate

The successful candidate must have:

  • A recognised degree in Social Work (ideally), however candidates who are qualified Nurses or Allied Health Professionals will also be considered.
  • Strong background working within children's residential and/or specialist education services.
  • Excellent knowledge and previous experience working within services which are regulated by the CQC, Ofsted, CIW or Estyn.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and strategic skills.
  • UK driving licence and own car.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required, which will include occasional overnight stays.

Interview Process

This will be a 2 stage process: an informal Teams call with the Director of Quality, followed by a formal interview and psychometric testing.
