We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager – Passive Fire Protection to oversee multiple fire protection projects throughout the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts from award through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations.
This role requires strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems, including fire stopping, fire doors and compartmentation.
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager.
- Strong understanding of fire compartmentation and industry standards.
- Knowledge of certification scheme - FIRAS Certification Scheme or BM TRADA.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and project supervisors.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant fire safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and health & safety.
- Liaise with clients and main contractors.
- Prepare and manage programmes of work and project documentation.
- Ensure works comply with quality assurance and compliance standards - FIRAS Certification Scheme where applicable.
- Resolve project issues and ensure smooth delivery of contracts.
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven experience in pricing, quoting and tendering projects of varying sizes and scopes.
- Previous experience working on medium - large scale projects is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
