As the Data Delivery Manager you will enable the effective delivery of high-value data products, analytics and AI capabilities across the Data and AI function. Embedded within Data and AI, the role provides delivery leadership that turns complex data-led work into clear, achievable outcomes across Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics and Analytics Engineering. The role shapes how work is planned, coordinated and executed to improve clarity, pace and impact. Accountable for helping teams focus on the highest-value problems, it aligns priorities and technical dependencies to ensure data and AI initiatives deliver tangible business and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Data Product and Operations Planning & Delivery Oversight
    • Own planning, prioritisation, and sequencing across the Data & AI team.
    • Apply a deep understanding of data work, skills, and technical dependencies to shape realistic delivery plans and roadmaps.
    • Support senior decision-making by clearly articulating options, trade-offs, and delivery implications.
  • Delivery Insight & Execution Support
    • Stay close to delivery to identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities early.
    • Challenge and support teams on scope, sequencing, and approaches to solving delivery problems.
    • Use delivery insight to improve focus, flow, and outcomes across teams.
  • Measurement, Governance & Assurance
    • Define and use delivery metrics to track progress, predictability, and outcomes across the portfolio.
    • Ensure appropriate governance, transparency, and documentation of delivery decisions to meet audit and compliance expectations.
    • Balance delivery pace with control, working pragmatically with risk and governance partners.
  • Stakeholder & Data Leadership Partnership
    • Act as a trusted delivery partner to Data & AI leaders and business stakeholders.
    • Strengthen alignment across teams, reduce friction, and improve cross-functional delivery.
    • Influence priorities and roadmaps through insight, credibility, and technical understanding of the work.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in delivery planning or coordination in a data-led environment.
  • Strong understanding of data disciplines such as data science, ML, advanced analytics, and analytics engineering.
  • Ability to understand and map technical dependencies across complex teams.
  • Comfortable contributing to delivery discussions at both the detail and portfolio level.
  • Skilled in working with cross-functional teams to shape, plan, and track delivery.
  • Clear communicator, able to bring structure to complexity and support decision-making.
  • Familiarity with agile practices, lean planning, or flow-based delivery.
  • Experience improving planning practices or delivery coordination across multiple teams.
