As the Manager of Business Architecture and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), you’ll drive the full delivery lifecycle – from spotting the opportunities to building the bots and celebrating the benefits. Whether it’s leading hands-on RPA delivery or coaching a high-performing team, your work will translate business challenges into smart, scalable automation solutions. With your technical know-how and eye for process, you’ll set the standards, steer governance, and shape best practices across tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere. You\’ll also take the lead on stakeholder engagement, pipeline management, and benefit tracking, all while building a culture where automation thrives.

Some of the great things you’ll be doing:
Delivery & Execution
• Run the day-to-day management of the automation delivery lifecycle—from intake through to design, build, test, deployment, and hypercare.
• Lead the design and documentation of As-Is and To-Be processes using BPMN standards in tools such as Signavio or LeanIX.
• Translate business problems into automation opportunities, articulating value cases, feasibility and impact.
• Deliver robust RPA solutions, either hands-on or through leading technical analysts and external partners.
• Ensure solutions meet compliance, information security and performance standards.
RPA Technical Leadership
• Serve as the resident technical expert for UiPath, Blue Prism or Automation Anywhere including Orchestrator configuration, licensing models, attended/unattended bots, and Centre of Excellence best practices.
• Guide development standards, code reviews, and version control in alignment with enterprise RPA governance.
• Collaborate closely with the data and infrastructure teams to optimise bot hosting, logging and monitoring strategies.
• Support citizen development initiatives by training and mentoring junior developers or business users on low-code automation.
Business Analysis & Project Management
• Own the pipeline of RPA and BPA initiatives, prioritising based on effort vs benefit trade-offs.
• Engage stakeholders to define requirements, success metrics and ROI models.
• Develop and maintain delivery plans, RAID logs and resource forecasting to ensure timely execution.
• Track and report automation KPIs and benefits realisation to stakeholders including risk committees and ExCo.
People & Culture
• Manage and coach a small team of analysts and developers, creating a high-performance, learning-oriented environment.
• Support the Senior Manager in defining and embedding the team’s delivery methodologies, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and be a visible advocate for automation across the business.

What we’d like to see from you:
Technical Experience
• Deep expertise in UiPath, Blue Prism or Automation Anywhere RPA, including solution architecture, REFramework, Orchestrator, and integration with third-party systems.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture tools (e.g. Signavio, LeanIX), process mining platforms, and business process modelling (BPMN).
• Understanding of AWS-first environments and SaaS tooling, particularly where automation interacts with APIs and microservices.
Business & Delivery Acumen
• Proven experience as a business analyst within transformation, automation or process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Track record of managing projects in agile, hybrid or waterfall environments, balancing scope, budget, timelines and risk.
Other Key Skills
• Sharp analytical mindset: able to dissect business processes and make data-driven decisions.
• Familiarity with risk, compliance and data protection principles in a regulated industry (e.g. financial services or insurance).
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment, bringing structure and clarity to complex problems.
