Curious about what’s next? So are we. Join Compare the Market and help to make financial decision making a breeze for millions. We’ve carved a meerkat-shaped niche and we’re looking for ambitious, curious thinkers who thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. If you love accountability, embrace challenge, and want to make a real difference, you’ll fit right in. We’d love you to be part of our journey.

As the Senior Delivery Operations Manager you will own the operating model, proactive preventative governance, and intake and prioritisation of work into the AI capability layer. Supports strategic planning, maintains the opportunity backlog co-owned with Product, and ensures planning decisions translate into sequenced, investable execution. Acts as the principal resource for forming high-profile new initiatives alongside Exec. Shapes the delivery function for a world where 10x systems are built by agents, ensuring frameworks, governance, and performance measures keep pace.

Some of the great things you’ll be doing:

  • AI Capability Layer: Intake and Prioritisation - Own intake and prioritisation and sequencing across the AI capability layer, ensuring delivery capacity and investment are directed toward the highest-value strategic opportunities. Lead structured triage and prioritisation processes across Technology, Data, AI and Commercial domains, balancing demand, dependencies, risk and organisational capacity. Provide senior stakeholders with clear visibility of priorities, pipeline health, delivery progress and strategic dependencies across the AI capability portfolio.
  • Forming New Initiatives - Lead the forming of high-profile new initiatives: scope, delivery approach, governance, before transition into steady-state delivery. Bring structure and pace to early-stage work that is ambiguous, cross-cutting, or strategically sensitive.
  • Operating Model and Agentification - Own and evolve the Operating Model. Keep it fit for purpose as the organisation scales. Design delivery frameworks for an agentic SDLC: 10x systems built by agents require fundamentally different delivery rhythms, governance, and performance measures. Ensure the operating model is understood and applied across Technology, Data, Product, and Commercial. Identify friction in the operating model and lead changes.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance - Support quarterly planning and investment processes, translating strategic priorities into sequenced, realistic and investable delivery plans aligned to organisational capacity and business outcomes. Maintain visibility of the opportunity backlog and ensure planning decisions are grounded in delivery insight, dependencies, risk and capacity considerations. Provide senior stakeholders with clear, data-informed visibility of delivery performance, progress, priorities and strategic risk. Lead governance and risk management approaches that enable pace with accountability, ensuring risks are surfaced early, managed proactively and resolved before they materially impact delivery, commercial outcomes or regulatory obligations. Design and run governance forums that support fast, informed and high-quality decision making across Technology, Data, Product and Commercial teams. Act as a trusted and balanced delivery voice with senior stakeholders, bringing independent judgement, strategic perspective and constructive challenge where required.
  • Leadership and Cross-functional Alignment - Build strong cross-functional relationships across Engineering, Product, Data and Commercial teams, strengthening alignment across planning, governance and delivery. Support Senior Delivery Managers in maintaining strategic alignment and consistent delivery leadership practices across the organisation.

What we’d like to see from you:

  • Expert (must have) - Deep experience in delivery governance, strategic planning, or operating model design. Ability to translate strategy into structured, investable plans. Proven ability to take ambiguous, early-stage initiatives and shape them into clear delivery plans with Exec-level stakeholders. Strong risk management: identifying, communicating, and resolving risks at pace. Credible and trusted at Exec level with balanced, data-driven perspectives. Highly effective communicator across technical and commercial audiences. Understanding of how AI agents and agentic tooling are changing the software delivery lifecycle. Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and their interaction with governance. Able to manage multiple senior stakeholder relationships with independence and trust.
  • Skilled (Preferred) - Experience in regulated environments (e.g. FCA) where governance must be robust without slowing delivery. Understanding of how operating models translate into team behaviours and delivery practices. Experience designing governance frameworks that balance rigour with practicality. Experience with intake and prioritisation for shared platform capabilities. Experience forming and standing up new programmes or platform capabilities from scratch. Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, or investment prioritisation. Understanding of technology, data, and AI delivery contexts.
