As the Engineering Manager (AI), you will lead a high-performing engineering team delivering AI-native platforms and systems. Drive technical excellence, coach engineers, and maintain a fast, sustainable delivery cadence. The EM empowers engineers to solve meaningful problems at scale- through clear technical direction, thoughtful coaching, and a strong focus on engineering culture. Engineering Managers are accountable for the technical health, delivery capability, and career development of their teams. They ensure first-party systems are resilient, secure, and scalable, embracing model SRE practices. Through deliberate investment in developer experience and tooling, they remove friction, increase flow, and enable engineers to do their best work-every day. By partnering closely with Staff Engineers, Product Managers, and Delivery Enablement, EM’s balance long-term architectural integrity with short-term delivery goals, aligning with mission and pillar-level strategy. They are champions of psychological safety, accountability, and craft, shaping engineering culture not just through process- but through purpose.

Some of the great things you’ll do:
• Provide line management to Engineers, ensuring strong career development pathways. Recruit, develop, and retain talent, ensuring the team has the right skills and capabilities.
• Foster a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and high performance. Set meaningful development goals and proactively manage performance concerns.
• Own technical execution and quality, ensuring engineering best practices are followed. Drive technical strategy and decision-making, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Partner with the Principal Engineer and Platform Delivery Manager to align execution with strategy
• Work with Product Managers to balance delivery speed, technical debt, and business objectives while following our engineering standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution without compromising technical integrity. Ensure compliance with 1st line risk management and governance standards.
• Able to explain complex technical solutions designed by the team to technical and non-technical stakeholders and advise on why it is the right solution.
• Effective communication skills to ensure transparency and alignment across all organizational levels.
• Drive Agile engineering culture, fostering collaboration and innovation. Promote data-driven decision-making in engineering execution.
• Use delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time) to enhance efficiency and improve development practices. Advocate for AI-Augmented workflows, automation, and best-in class engineering tooling.
• Able to translate organizational strategy into actionable and understandable tasks and metrics for the team.

• Experience within an AI in software engineering environment.
• Expert in Building, leading & scaling high performing engineering teams. Technical leadership & software engineering best practices. People management & team development. Software architecture, scalability & maintainability. Ownership & stewardship of first-party software systems.
• Exposure to Developer Experience, automation & AI-Augmented workflows. Engineering strategy & technical direction. 1st line risk management & compliance awareness. Agile, metrics-driven execution & continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder collaboration (Product, Delivery, Engineering leadership). Security, performance, and reliability principles. Data-drive decision-making in engineering execution.
