What’s the purpose of a Data Management Practice Analyst?
The Data Management Practice Analyst is responsible for ensuring CtM projects or proposed changes have met our Data Management requirements covering Data Privacy & Protection, Security, Quality, Ethics & Risks. This role ensures projects are considered against existing Policies & Procedures, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to provide specific opinion, and then ensuring projects or changes meet given criteria, or consider raised concerns. The Data Management Practice Analyst must excel in communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, working alongside the Senior Data Management Practice Analyst. They must also demonstrate excellent engagement, stakeholder management and collaboration. This role reports into the Senior Manager – Data Risk.
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborate with and support project leads in ensuring that Data Management requirements are accurately documented in the Data Management Assessment (DMA) within JIRA and completed before projects go live.
- Keep the DMA aligned with current practices, policies, standards, and business data needs, while proactively identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
- Escalate data related Risks or Issues to the Data Risk team, and communicate agreed remedial actions to project leads to ensure timely resolution.
- Engage with Subject Matter Experts from Data teams to provide advice and guidance to project leads, ensuring effective governance and traceability of decisions.
- Ensure projects involving AI technologies meet model governance standards by coordinating AIDA submissions and approvals (Model Brief and Licence to Operate).
- Support the Data Privacy team by issuing and monitoring OneTrust assessments (e.g., PIA, DPIA, LIA, ROPA), and ensuring timely completion.

- Excellent time management skills and being able to prioritise workload.
- Experience in using JIRA, Confluence & OneTrust but not essential as full training will be provided.
- A basic understanding of GDPR & DPA practices
