We’re looking for a Copywriter to join our team at Compare the Market. Joining our Marketing team and reporting into our Senior Manager – Creative Design, you’ll play a key role in shaping the voice of one of the UK’s most-loved brands. From attention-grabbing ads to scroll-stopping sales and advertising copy, your words will do the talking and the converting.

And yes, we’re embracing AI. We\’re using it to enhance, not replace, our creativity, helping us move faster, ideate smarter, and experiment with fresh ways to connect with our audiences. You’ll be encouraged to explore how AI tools can complement your craft, not compete with it.

Some of the great things you’ll do:
•Take ownership of marketing copy from brief to brilliant, across email, advertising, social, video, web, and more.
•Collaborate with designers, marketers, product teams and strategists to turn concepts into campaigns that click (literally).
•Use data and A/B testing to optimise copy performance and iterate with purpose.
•Bring your A-game to ideation sessions and creative reviews, influencing with storytelling and rationale.
•Adjust tone and messaging across channels and audience segments, while keeping brand consistency spot-on.
•Present copy concepts with clarity and conviction to internal teams and stakeholders.
•Help us explore AI-powered tools to spark creativity, speed up iteration, and test content effectiveness.
•Champion our tone of voice and update guidance as the brand and market evolves.
•Proofread, polish and work closely with legal, compliance and product teams to ensure regulatory readiness.
•Act as a guardian of the brand’s tone of voice, ensuring consistent usage across the business and regularly updating the tone of voice document to reflect evolving needs.

What we’d like to see from you:
•Experience writing for regulated or technical industries i.e. financial services
•Proven ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, engaging messages.
•A portfolio bursting with creativity, versatility, and commercial savvy for sales and advertising campaigns
•Confidence using (or learning to use) AI-powered writing and ideation tools.
•Exceptional grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
•Flexibility to work across multiple projects, priorities and formats.
•A curious mindset and a love for continuous improvement.
•Confident communicator who can present copy concepts, direction and final deliverables to internal teams and stakeholders.
