The Events Manager is CtM's lead expert in event planning and management. They are responsible for bringing to life our strategy, purpose and values in both our business and fun events. They are fully accountable for the strategic thinking, logistics, planning, delivery and organisation of events, including supplier and budget management. They are the key manager of internal stakeholders for events, including the Director of Corporate Affairs, Chief People Officer and CEO. This role also supports Employer Brand events and activities.

Some of the great things you’ll be doing:

  • Set the strategic direction for events at CtM, covering both business and fun activities.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end organisation and delivery of all Compare the Markets’ events including large scale annual offsite.
  • Accountable for overall Events budget, including budget management of each event, ensuring we are cost-effective.
  • Responsible for stakeholder management across the business (including Exec and extended leadership team).
  • Manage and own all relevant supplier and partner contracts, sourcing vendors and suppliers, negotiate costs, SLAs and T&Cs maintaining strong diligence throughout.
  • Identify and implement mechanism/s to measure the success of every event, for reporting upwards to key stakeholders. Make sound recommendations for change and development of future events.
  • Lead across the matrix to gain relevant support for the successful delivery of events, for example engaging the internal communications team on content aligned to strategy and the marketing team for brand purposes.
  • Understand and interpret the company strategy and make recommendations for events and activities which will help embed knowledge and understanding across the business.
  • Establish oneself as CtM's events expert, supporting and advising local teams on smaller team events.
  • Maintain excellent customer service of all events showcasing high performance and brilliant delivery.
  • Use external insight of trends and developments in events management, ensuring CtM remains best in class for colleague events to ensure you proactively seek new ideas and make recommendations.
