We are looking for an Associate Producer to join our Longform team and work alongside Producers and Senior Producers to manage the post‑production of feature films and episodic shows.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting Producers and Senior Producers in running day‑to‑day project activity to ensure productions are progressing efficiently through the facility to final delivery.
- Working effectively with the rest of the production team to cover resource scheduling, project management, and billing.
- Building and maintaining good relationships with new and existing clients.
- Building and maintaining good relationships within the company including with creative, operational and technical teams, the rest of the production team, and management.
- Being open and able to negotiate with colleagues and clients when conflicts and challenges arise.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Being responsible for the day‑to‑day project management and running of multiple productions being finished in the facility at any one time, either individually, or in pairs/small teams of Producers/Senior Producers and Associate Producers.
- Managing all aspects and versions of assigned projects to completion as required (e.g. sound and picture, film and digital, 2D and 3D, HDR and SDR, theatrical and home entertainment).
- Working closely with filmmakers, studios, other vendors, and internal teams including Production, Image Science, Operations, Engineering and Deliverables to build workflows tailored to specific project requirements.
- Helping to organise pre‑production meetings and oversee the internal project team to ensure that effective procedures and communications are in place between all parties.
- Organising camera and workflow tests on shows in preparation for principal photography, VFX and finishing.
- Working with clients and Producers/Senior Producers to schedule work with the appropriate resources in London and globally on London shows and ensuring that MediaPulse/Xytech is kept up‑to‑date with correct dates, times and phase, and is reflective of the bid.
- Keeping the clients aware of the schedule that they are holding and resolving any conflicts/challenges with other productions with them.
- Creating detailed tickets and work orders for operators so they know exactly what is required and the time frame.
- Liaising with operators on the progress of jobs and providing support to ensure schedules are upheld.
- Managing freelance schedules and outside services if required and helping to raise purchase orders.
- Working closely with production, studios, broadcasters and streaming services, and other vendors in the creation and delivery of final and archival masters.
- Escalating and assisting with the troubleshooting of any problems that arise throughout the post process.
- Providing support to other members of the production team, particularly resource scheduling and billing, as well as gap coverage for project management and taking on additional assignments as needed to help satisfy client needs.
- Pro‑actively picking up general enquiries and ad hoc requests for picture and audio sessions from clients and other Company 3 departments and facilities, including but not limited to local and remote client reviews and screenings.
BILLING & COST REPORTING
- Creating and costing work orders for all work on a daily basis.
- Ensuring regular costings and financial updates including Bid‑Versus‑Actuals spreadsheets are sent to clients on a weekly basis, confirming overages are approved and communicated, and PO’s or approvals are obtained prior to work continuation in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that all accounting, including resource tracking, forecasting and billing on all projects that you are managing is kept up to date, in keeping with company protocols.
FURTHER TRAINING
- Seeking guidance and supervision during integral parts of the finishing process to ensure you are following Company 3 best practices.
- Building a strong understanding of Company 3’s global facilities, services, talent and workflows to ensure smooth transitions to and from other locations and other departments (e.g. dailies and VFX).
- Developing a more detailed technical understanding of image science and workflows for high‑end studio productions including film and digital capture and delivery, 2D and 3D, HDR and SDR, theatrical and home entertainment.
- Developing your communication skills to manage internal teams on projects and liaise with a variety of clients and studios in the most effective and appropriate ways.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Good experience managing and communicating with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and deliver projects.
- Good knowledge and hands‑on experience of post‑production processes and workflows, with an understanding of sound post‑production, ideally within high‑end longform productions.
- Strong working knowledge of creating, quality checking and delivering final masters to the highest technical and creative standards.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS
- Familiarity with capabilities of DaVinci Resolve, Baselight, Flame and Pro Tools desirable.
- Microsoft Office 365: Outlook, Excel and Word proficiency.
- Familiar with facility scheduling applications such as Media Pulse, Ceta and Xytech.
- Proficient with web applications and portals for job management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- 40‑hour working week.
- Working day is typically 9/10am – 6/7pm, however, due to the nature of the job, you may need to work earlier or later shifts when projects require it.
- Working week is typically Mon‑Fri, however, due to the nature of the job, some weekend and public holiday work may be required.
