Join our team as a FLT Driver based at our distribution centre in Tankersley. We are looking for hard working individuals that are enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge to join our team at our Distribution Centre in Tankersley, South Yorkshire. The role of FLT Driver is pivotal to the success of the operational function. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving produce around the warehouse in a safe, timely and accurate manner. Experience is essential due to the nature of the role.
Details of location and shift pattern:
- Shifts/hours: Vacancy A Reach FLT driver - 37.5 hours per week working Sunday to Thursday, the working hours are from 10pm to 6am
- Vacancy B: Reach FLT driver - 37.5 hours per week working Tuesday to Saturday, the working hours are from 10pm to 6am
The above roles will involve working in the chill and ambient departments.
Location: Company Shop Group, Tankersley Distribution Centre, Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DH
Rate of Pay: £14.15 per hour, paid on a four weekly basis. Night Premium: Employees assigned to the night shift will receive a night shift allowance of £1.25 per hour.
Please note, our team operates around the clock, 24/7, and the successful candidates will be required to work bank holidays.
Requirements:
- To ensure all stock is taken care of in a safe and proper manner
- Ensure that all pre shift safety checks are completed
- Report any faults or issues with vehicles immediately to your line manager
- Report all accidents/near misses to your line manager
- Move pallets systemically via the warehouse management system
- Check all products for dispatching are accurate and free from damage
- Efficiently move products/orders to the correct areas in the warehouse
- Ensure picking areas are replenished throughout the day
- Maintain equipment and materials that are used, and keep your area clean and tidy
- Ensure you conduct all operations in a manner which promotes safety in the workplace
- Follow all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures
- To ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely and diligent manner
- Adhere to the Clean As You Go policy at all times
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required
Skills and Experience:
- Hold a valid AITT, RTITB, ITSSAR or NPORS Reach Truck and or Counterbalance Driver Licence
- Experience of working in a busy warehouse environment
- Good Team Worker
- Good Communication Skills
- Reliable and Good Time Keeping Skills
- Experience with WMS (warehouse management systems)
