Salary: £32,333 per annum plus £2\’600 nights premium

Details of location and shift pattern:
Location: Company Shop Group, Tankersley Distribution Centre, Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DH
Shifts/hours: 40 hours per week, WEEKEND NIGHTS Fri-Mon 10pm-8am
Please note: Warehouse Team Supervisors are required to be flexible when working, in order to cover the operational hours, which includes weekends and bank holidays. The job holder may also be required to deputise for the shift manager.
About the role
The role will see direct managerial responsibilities across various teams who are managing the operational activity, with up to 20 colleagues across a team. We are looking for an individual who is currently in a Supervisory role and has experience within Production, Packing and Warehousing. You will be required to hit the ground running and demonstrate a solid commitment to delivery whilst adhering to quality, health and safety, food and environmental standards and processes. This role would be ideal for an individual with previous Food manufacturing, Retail or an FMCG Supervisory background.
Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Daily management of a dynamic operational environment that may be impacted by deliveries, systems and processes
- Oversee the day-to-day operational activity across all areas including home shopping, chill produce, FLT and warehouse, tray sortation, stock control, goods in/out
- Monitor workflow, identify any potential risk that may impact SLA\’s and agree timely corrective action through to resolution
- Flexible, fast and effective re-deployment of staff to meet daily challenges and ensure targets/customer expectations are fully met
- Adhere to all environmental, food safety and quality/ hygiene procedures when undertaking duties with specific reference to CCP\’s, escalating as required
- Drive change and continuous improvement – constantly looking for operational improvements, sharing knowledge and lead by example
- Ensure Health & Safety instructions and procedures are followed:
- Machinery, equipment, or vehicles used within the work area are maintained, correctly guarded and meet Health & Safety requirements
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, used, and stored appropriately
- Health & Safety issues raised with departmental managers in a timely manner
- Record/report all accidents and near misses
- Report all hazards, safety shortcomings or anything that could result in serious or imminent danger
- Perform investigations in Health & Safety and compliance breach and deviations from procedures, ensure investigation reports and corrective/preventative actions are closed out

- Regular 121\’s, document discussions and follow up actions/ feedback

- Disciplinary and grievance issues in accordance with Company Shop policies

- Ensure that all members of your team adhere to all Company Shop Group policies and procedures
- Active promote and encourage the reporting of any near misses and accidents
- Support, develop and coach all members of your team using development and succession planning tools
- Keep up to date with information relevant to your department and cascade accordingly to your team
- Ensure that all Food Safety and Health, Safety & Environmental policies and practices are upheld, whilst proactively encouraging your team to promote a culture of good HSE practice
- Actively promote good Health & Safety instructions, initiatives, and training across the site
