Team Leader – Community Shop, Lambeth

About Us

Company Shop Group (CSG), part of Biffa, is the largest commercial redistributor of surplus food and household products in the UK. We enable retailers, manufacturers, food service and logistics providers to unlock value from surplus stock that would otherwise go to waste. Location and Shift Pattern

• Location: Community Shop Lambeth, Vale St, Norwood, London SE27 9PA
• Hours: 40‑hour contract per week, 5 out of 6 days on a rota basis. Work hours are 7.30 am–5 pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 am–3 pm Saturday.
• Flexibility: Successful candidate must be flexible with working hours.
• Pay: £14.34 per hour, paid on a 4‑weekly basis.

Responsibilities

• Report into the Team Manager and motivate the team to deliver daily department operations.
• Communicate with and coordinate departmental colleagues to consistently deliver excellent service.
• Maintain high standards and continuously seek improvements.
• Ensure all Health, Safety & Environmental policies are upheld and encourage a culture of good HSE practice.
• Review departmental waste and find solutions to reduce wastage.

Support and Assist the Team Manager With

• Daily huddles, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Develop colleague plans, recommend and coach rising stars.
• Create an engaging department where colleagues are trusted by members and understand the mission.
• Ensure colleagues uphold our culture and deliver an exceptional member experience.
• Additional departmental tasks as required.
