Employee Communications Manager – Fixed Term Contract for 12 months to cover Maternity leave.
Company Shop Group (CSG), part of the Biffa Group, is on the lookout for passionate, self-starting individuals to join an experienced marketing team on a hybrid basis, based 3 days a week at their offices in Tankersley, Barnsley.

Your Role
As Employee Communications Manager for CSG, you’ll be responsible for producing and maintaining all communications for internal CSG employees, whether that’s head office colleagues, stores and operations.
You’ll be ensuring colleagues across the business are up-to-date, engaged and proud to work at CSG through exciting, timely communications across multiple platforms.
We’re looking for someone who can provide new ideas for engaging with colleagues, manage multiple projects at once, and can be reactive. You’ll need to have excellent relationship building skills, as the role requires the person to be aware of all activities in the business, as well as being able to provide information and collaborate with the Biffa employee communications team. You’ll need to have an eye for detail as well as being able to create and manage campaigns, specifically designed to engage and inform internal colleagues.
You’ll be executing the employee communications end-to-end, from creation, design (with design team support), copy and assessing results for future learnings, as well as project managing any internal events such as conferences. You’ll have autonomy to be able to come up with new ideas for methods and style of communications that get the best engagement from colleagues across the business.
We’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic and highly motivated to join our experienced marketing team.
Qualifications
- Internal communications experience and/or marketing experience
- Project management experience
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Proficient within Microsoft Office – email platform/CRM system experience ideal, but not essential
- Event management is ideal but not essential
