The completion of the deal saw Company of Cooks become the group’s go-to operators in heritage and performance venues, art galleries and destinations. We are excited to be recruiting for an Event Manager to work with us at a wonderful venue in London. Location: London Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience Work Pattern: Predominantly Monday – Friday but flexibility over weekends/evenings may be required for events Key Responsibilities: Understanding the requirements of clients and coming up with innovative ideas for events Establishing and agreeing upon important parameters, such as budgets and timeframes Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations Researching suppliers and contractors and negotiating favourable deals Providing clients or management with regular updates Coordinating activities on the day of an event and implement back-up plans when necessary Performing post-event evaluation and documenting findings Managing post-event activities, such as the cleaning of venues and the payment of suppliers Our Ideal Candidates: A creative mind and a flair for entertainment to create exciting events Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks The ability to perform well under pressure and remain calm in crisis situations The ability to multitask, as the job often requires dealing with multiple parties and tasks concurrently Attention to detail to ensure that every aspect of an event is perfect Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on their feet when unexpected events occur Strong negotiation skills to effectively deal with suppliers and contractors Excellent interpersonal skills, as the job constantly involves working with people What\’s in it for you?
