We are excited to be recruiting for an Event Manager to work with us at Southbank Centre.

Location: SE1 8XX

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience

Work Pattern: Predominantly Monday - Friday but flexibility over weekends/evenings may be required for events

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the requirements of clients and coming up with innovative ideas for events
  • Establishing and agreeing upon important parameters, such as budgets and timeframes
  • Logistics, problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Account management
  • Researching suppliers and contractors and negotiating favourable deals
  • Providing clients or management with regular updates
  • Coordinating activities on the day of an event and implementing back-up plans when necessary
  • Performing post-event evaluation and documenting findings
  • Managing post-event activities, such as the cleaning of venues and the payment of suppliers
